For Immediate Release
Ottawa, ON (Feb 15, 2000) Canadian Jazz lovers will want to take extended leave this month when Bianca Pittoors premieres her new show, JazzVoyage. During a live recording by Radio-Canada, Maison Maxime will host the Bianca Pittoors Quartet who will take you on a trip for the soul. Bianca offers a new component a la francaise to her jazz repertoire that reflects her bilingual background and includes a rich cultural heritage within her music. As Bianca explores a jazz world that transcends language barriers, she invites you to join her in a liberated exploration of jazz and culture from the deck of her yacht, Passion.
"A voyage is a time for adventure. It is a time in life to explore and express yourself through culture," says Bianca Pittoors. "All great artists must take a voyage of the heart and mind, we must go beyond tradition and capture a view of the world that no one else has never seen." JazzVoyage is the result of what Bianca has seen during her latest musical exploration and she continues to excite the Jazz community with her voice and her vision.
Joining Bianca on stage will be Tom McMahon, her musical director, playing acoustic bass and baliset. Charles Gay on drums and Mark Ferguson on piano complete the quartet with enthusiasm. The performance will start at 9:00 on the evening of March 10. Radio-Canada's recording of this performance will receive national and regional airplay on a date to be announced at the show.
JazzVoyage will take a trip out west when it goes on the road this spring
